PPL PRS Ltd is a new joint venture between the UK’s two music licensing societies - PPL and PRS for Music. We have joined forces to make it easier for our customers to obtain a music licence for the playing or performance of music in public.
We are here to promote and protect the value of music – to ensure that those who write, perform, compose, record or publish it are fairly rewarded for their work. With the introduction of our joint music licence, we are determined to deliver the best music licensing experience in the world.
United for Music.
One contact. One invoice. One licence.
United for Music.
Our parent companies have been working in music rights management for decades. PPL represents performers and record companies. PRS for Music is a society of songwriters, composers and music publishers. Both organisations ensure that the creators and performers of music are paid when their music is used in public. Whilst the two parent companies will continue to be based in London, the new venture based in Leicester - PPL PRS - will deliver all UK public performance licensing, creating a single point of contact for customers and more efficient licensing to support our thousands of members’ rights. The two parent companies will continue to carry out everything else they do separately, including representing their members, collecting monies owed to them from international societies, independently consulting on and negotiating on their Tariff rates and licensing their broadcast, online and recorded media customers.
We are now hiring, if your passion for music is anything like ours, you’ll jump at the chance to come on board and help shape something vital to the future of the music industry. Visit our recruitment site to see current vacancies and submit your application.
