PPL PRS Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to having effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery or human trafficking taking place within our business or our supply chains.
PPL PRS Ltd administers public performance licensing on behalf of its parent companies Phonographic Performance Limited and PRS for Music Limited. Due to the nature of its business, being copyright licensing, the current assessment of PPL PRS Ltd’s exposure to the risk of modern slavery is low.
PPL PRS Ltd does not employ any forced labour. PPL PRS Ltd operates several internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner and maintains sufficient training to its staff so that such policies are adhered to.
In its use of suppliers, PPL PRS Ltd expects those suppliers to comply with their legal obligations under the Modern slavery Act and that they will place similar expectations on their own respective suppliers. When entering into arrangements with suppliers (and when periodically reviewing its supply chains), PPL PRS Ltd will seek to be alert for any indicators of slavery or human trafficking.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes PPL PRS Ltd’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2018. This statement has been approved by the organisation’s Board of Directors, who will review and update it annually. Our Executive Management team take responsibility for implementing this statement and its objectives. They will ensure adequate resources and investment to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our organisation or within our supply chains.
