PPL PRS Increases Leicester Workforce
New Music Venture Increases Local Workforce For 2018
PPL PRS Ltd expanded its Leicester workforce this month, when 60 new employees joined its ranks.
The company, the new joint venture between the UK’s two music licensing bodies PPL and PRS for Music, which aims to streamline the current process by providing one contact and one invoice for businesses and organisations buying a music licence, first opened its doors in June last year and has been steadily recruiting ever since.
Having made its home in the former Leicester Mercury building at Mercury Place, PPL PRS Ltd has recruited employees, aptly named ‘Band Members’, and plans to launch its new music licensing service, TheMusicLicence, in the coming months.
Managing Director, Suzanne Smith, said of the arrival of the new employees in Leicester: “I am delighted to welcome our latest new team members to PPL PRS. Leicester is a vibrant, evolving business hub, as well as having an abundance of local musical talent and we are already settling into our new home here. We look forward to engaging further with the business community in the area, and continuing to be a part of the city’s economic growth.”

We look forward to working alongside the teams in Leicester and wish them all the very best in their new roles.”
Paul Clements, Executive Director of Membership, International & Licensing at PRS for Music, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome so many new additions to PPL PRS Ltd – and what an incredibly exciting time to be joining the company.
