The history of the parent organisation PRS for Music and PPL dates back over 100 years to the origins of collective management of music itself. With PRS for Music founded in 1914 to represent composers, songwriters and publishers, and PPL in 1934 represent record labels and later performers too. Between them, PPL and PRS for Music now represent hundreds of thousands of members.
The United for Music Mural champions this century-long practice through an illustrated history of music from 1910 to 2017.
