PPL PRS named as finalists in SEVEN categories at UK Contact Centre Forum Awards

Music licensing business, PPL PRS Ltd has been recognised by the UK Contact Centre Forum Awards as finalists in seven of the categories in their 2024 awards.

The company, who issue TheMusicLicence to businesses and organisations who play music to their customers and staff was set up in 2017 and started licensing businesses in 2018, with the mission to streamline music licensing and make things easier for customers by offering them just one single licence. This includes thousands of UK businesses who pay licence fees to PPL PRS which are then distributed to music creators, after operating costs, as royalties via its parent organisations PPL and PRS for Music.

The seven categories the business is represented in are:

  • Customer Experience Team of the Year– Commercial Leadership Team
  • Head of Contact Centre / Director of the Year – Greg Aiello
  • Complaints Management Team of the Year– Customer Experience Team
  • Support Team of the Year – Marketing & PR Team
  • Team Leader of the Year – Emma Moore
  • Manager of the Year – Patricia Hetherington-Lee
  • Industry Newcomer of the Year– Claudia Jeronimo

The UK Contact Centre Forum comprises six regional groups and provides a platform for call centre and customer service professionals to share the latest customer contact thinking and strategy ideas at a local and national level.

PPL PRS, which employs over 250 people, was selected as finalist by the judges of the awards, which recognise excellence from across businesses and celebrates achievements of individuals, teams and companies in the customer contact sector. This comes in the same year as the business was named as finalist in six categories at the National Contact Centre Awards and took home the Change Maker of the Year Award and the Commercial Leadership Team received the Silver Award for Leadership Team of the Year.

Commercial Director for PPL PRS, Greg Aiello, commented: “It’s a privilege for PPL PRS to be recognised at the UK Contact Centre Forum Awards, and we are extremely proud of all of the teams and individuals who have been shortlisted across the business. So far, 2024 has been another good year for PPL PRS, with many successes, so it’s great for these accomplishments to be recognised. Everyone who has been shortlisted is passionate about their role and ensuring the people that create the music we all love are fairly rewarded for their work, whilst providing a great experience for our customers. We wish all our nominated teams and people the best of the luck for the judging and a massive well done to all the finalists in the awards.”
