PPL PRS become Official Music Partner of Leicester Tigers

PPL PRS become Official Music Partner of Leicester Tigers in new partnership agreement for 2022/23 season

Leicester based music licensing company, PPL PRS Limited, have signed a new partnership agreement with Leicester Tigers, which will see them become the Official Music Partner of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Champions, for the 2022/23 season.

The partnership further cements the strong link between music and sport, and will help to create a more musical match day experience for fans, complementing the Leicester Tigers campaign ‘Turn up the Noise’.

PPL PRS, who issue TheMusicLicence to businesses who play music to their customers and employees, will be the headline partner of entertainment enabling emerging, local talent to be showcased to visitors to the Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium.

Additionally, fans will be able to get interactive on match day by creating playlists that will be shared on social media and on the stadium screens. Tigers fans will also be able to find out what music their favourite players listen to pre- and post-match.

Leicester Tigers, the most successful rugby club in premiership history, were keen to work with the team behind TheMusicLicence to show their support for the talented artists who create the music that the fans and players all listen to, as the fees paid by businesses for TheMusicLicence is returned, after operating costs, to music creators as royalties by its parent organisations PPL and PRS for Music.
